 Lawrence W. James Founding Member President and CEO Market Intelligence, Insight, Planning and Execution Mr. Lawrence James has nearly 30 years of progressive corporate marketing, customer service and diversity management experience, with the last 10 years spent in the healthcare industry. Prior to forming CMCHO, he served as vice president and chief marketing officer for the Middletown Regional Health System (MRHS), a 300-bed adult acute care hospital. During his career at MRHS, Mr. James' leadership skills in strategic marketing, diversity and service excellence helped move this quiet suburban health system from being one of Southern Ohio's "best kept secrets" to recognition as one of the region's premier health care leaders. Today MRHS boasts one of the strongest financial positions in the state, as well as one of the strongest reputations for clinical quality, service excellence and diversity. This strong operational and marketing performance has generated unprecedented growth, resulting in the need for a new and expanded facility, which will open in 2008. Robert V. Miller, Ph.D. Founding Member Healthcare Market Research Dr. Robert Miller also is president and chief executive officer of Cooper Research, Inc., a full-service market research company specializing in healthcare. Cooper designs custom quantitative and qualitative research studies for healthcare systems, health plans, insurance companies, medical device companies, non-profits and pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he has a strong background in research methods and statistics. Dr. Miller also has extensive experience in healthcare public policy issues and research, managed care/insurance, medical devices/products and pharmaceuticals. He has held various leadership positions within market research and academia for more than 30 years. Thomas A. Scott, M.D. Founding Member Physician Training and Development Dr. Thomas Scott also is an allergist practicing at the Wichita Clinic, a 160-member multi-specialty medical practice in Wichita, Kansas. He has practiced medicine for more than 20 years, initially as a general internist, before accepting and completing his sub-specialty research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Scott is a graduate of Wittenberg University and Meharry Medical College. His Internal Medicine internship and residency were completed at Western Reserve Care System. He is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Scott also is a Fellow of the Academy. Roland D. West Founding Member Organizational Development and Diversity TrainingMr. Roland D. West also is the president and chief executive officer of Roland D. West & Associates, a management consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. The firm specializes in diversity, organizational team building and sexual harassment training. A native of Cincinnati, Mr. West is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He currently sits on the boards of Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown, Ohio, the Urban League, the Wesley Childcare Center and the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, and he is a member of the Greater Cincinnati CAN Commission. Mr. West has been a featured speaker on leadership for the State of Illinois, the University of Michigan, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Alcoa, General Electric and Pitney Bowes. Kathleen Gallon Vice President of Operations Ms. Kathleen Gallon is responsible for developing, executing and managing the survey process for CMCHO. She oversees the survey teams and is responsible for the final reports issued to hospitals. Additionally, she directs the activities of the national sales force. As president and founder of Success Matters, Ms. Gallon coached executives at Fortune 100 companies, developed organizational and staffing strategies for client companies, and designed and conducted diversity training for thousands of managers and employees across industries throughout the country.
